Bangladesh Nurses Association (BNA) is the national professional, non political association of registered nurses in Bangladesh. BNA is registered under the Society Registration Act XXI of 1860 on the November 1973 (Amended in 1978).
The association traces its origins to the Trained Nurses Association of Pakistan which was established in 1948. Following the Independence of Bangladesh, nurses in Bangladesh reorganized remnants of the Trained Nurses Association of Pakistan and adopted a constitution of Bangladesh Nurses Association on 5th November, 1973.
The association is a member of International Council of Nurse (ICN) and the Commonwealth Nurses Federation (CNF).
BNA for fostering high standards of nursing practice; Promoting a safe and ethical work environment; Bolstering the health and wellness of nurses; and. Advocating on health care issues that affect nurses and the public.
